The person killed in a two-vehicle crash on Snowhill Road Friday night was identified as Ellen L. Hudson of Ooltewah, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Hudson was traveling northbound in a Honda CRV when she traveled off the right side of the road, across the shoulder, into a ditch, and then proceeded back onto the roadway, where the vehicle eventually rotated and traveled into the opposite lane of traffic, striking a Chrysler Pacifica, according to a preliminary investigation.
She was pronounced dead at a local medical facility.
The crash remains under investigation.
The driver of the Chrysler Pacifica sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to the sheriff's office.
