Both Bledsoe and Grundy county schools in Tennessee will be closed Friday because of flu-related illnesses.

Grundy County Schools will reopen for classes Tuesday. A message on the school's Facebook page says: "All 5th and 6th grade, and Junior Pro basketball games for this weekend are cancelled. GCHS district basketball games will be played as scheduled. All schools and buses will be disinfected during this closure. We encourage our families to use this time off to rest and recover for school to resume on Tuesday, February 20, 2018."

A Bledsoe County Schools' Facebook post stated: "We will be closed Friday and Tuesday due to sickness. Monday is a school holiday. All activities except for the District TSSAA Tournament will be cancelled. Please stay in and get well."
