Bradley County (Tenn.) Sheriff's Office detectives are asking the public for assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

The suspect is a thin, white man in his mid 40s, approximately five-foot-ten-inches tall, medium-length dark brown hair that is messy on top, according to a news release form the sheriff's office. He has a full, dark brown beard that grows approximately two inches below the chin. He also has red sores on his face.

He was driving a faded red single-cab pickup truck with a long bed and damage to its body. It was a mid 1990's year model.

He is being sought in connection to the armed robbery of a woman on Tuesday at the 6800 block of Bates Pike, the news release states.

The woman told sheriff's deputies that a man in a red pickup truck ran her vehicle off the road. He approached her vehicle to ask if she was OK but then held a knife to her throat and took her money.

The woman provided the man's description to deputies and what his truck looked like.
