Firefighters battle Signal Mountain house fire Monday night

Walden's Ridge Emergency Services firefighters battled a house fire Monday night on Signal Mountain, according to a news release from Hamilton County Emergency Services.

Firefighters were sent to the 2800 block of Taft Highway after a neighbor called 911 reporting the smell of smoke. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies were first on the scene and reported a fully involved house fire.

Firefighters arrived minutes later and battled the fire to contain it to the single structure.
