A red pickup truck left the road Thursday afternoon in the 1800 block of Central Avenue and crashed into a utility pole, snapping it in pieces from its base.

Part of the utility pole was suspended in the air by wires.

There were no injuries in the crash, but Central Avenue was closed to traffic to repair the damage to the pole and power lines.
