Wiel opened the eighth inning with a double to left field and scored on a Mitchell Kranson single to left as the Lookouts tied the game at 7. Wiel scored a go-ahead run in the 10th on a Kranson double, but the BayBears scored on a double play to make it 8-8.

Jose Rojas hit a two-run home run to right-center in the first inning and hit a two-run double to left in the third to help Mobile build a 6-1 led. It was still 6-1 entering the sixth, but the Lookouts pulled within 7-6 thanks to Gore's two-run triple to right in the sixth and a Jaylin Davis RBI triple to center in the seventh.
