State and local authorities in Catoosa County, Georgia, are investigating the death of a 77-year-old woman whose body was found Sunday morning by a jogger.
Sheriff Gary Sisk said the jogger found the woman's body near Tiger Creek and South Chickamauga Creek along the Ringgold Nature Trail.
Investigators believe the death is most likely an accidental drowning and do not suspect foul play pending the outcome of an autopsy, Sisk said.
Sisk said it appears the woman was out walking by the creek and fell in, possibly experiencing hypothermia in the cool creek water. The woman has not been named.
