UPDATE at 6:34 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018: Chattanooga police have identified an 18-year-old man as a suspect in Monday morning's hit-and-run on the 4500 block of Norcross Road that left one man dead.
Warrants have been filed for Israel Martin-Alonzo.
ORIGINAL STORY: A spokeswoman for the Chattanooga Police Department confirmed a body was found on the 4500 block of Norcross Road on Monday morning.
A passing motorist saw Donald Rackley, 62, on the side of the road and alerted police. Rackley was pronounced dead by Hamilton County Emergency Services at the scene, according to a police department news release.
Investigators believe Rackley was killed in a hit-and-run, but no vehicle description is available at this time.
