The body of a white male was found around 2 a.m. near train tracks along the intersection of Boy Scout and Sandswitch roads, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
The victim was discovered by a Norfolk Southern train conductor, according to the release.
The body was taken to the county medical examiner's office, but the person's identity and cause of death remained unknown as of Thursday evening, according to police.
