UPDATE: The Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner's visit to lake Winnepesaukah Wednesday reaffirmed no ride malfunction led to an injury on Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the park said.

"As part of our commitment to safety and training for all employees, we will continue to focus on the proper operation for all of our attractions," Spokeswoman Talley Green said in a statement. "A safe and enjoyable experience at Lake Winnepesaukah for children and families is our goal."

ORIGINAL STORY: A man and a child were injured at Lake Winnie Tuesday, but authorities say there was no malfunction with the attraction.

Glenn Allen, spokesman for the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, said the child got his hand crimped on the restraining bar of a ride. A male attendee was removing the child from the ride when another attendee started the ride, causing the man who was helping to fall.

The man was taken to a local hospital with cuts, scrapes and bruises.

The boy was treated at the park.

Officials with the fire commissioner's office will be at the park Wednesday morning.

A spokeswoman for Lake Winnie did not immediately return a request for comment.
