Chattanooga City Council delays budget for a week

The Chattanooga City Council has given itself a week's breathing room on the fiscal 2019 budget.

Council members voted to keep the current budget in place after the new fiscal year starts July 1 while they continue to consider the $279 million spending plan proposed by Mayor Andy Berke.
