Man accused of attempted murder mistakenly released

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Tennessee say a man who is accused of shooting a woman last year has been mistakenly released from jail.

Nashville police said in a news release that a bench warrant was issued Monday for 19-year-old Quindarius Jordan. The release said he was released Friday due to a clerical error that showed his bond was $5,000 instead of $150,000, the amount set by a judge.

Jordan is charged with attempted first-degree murder, felony reckless endangerment, unlawful gun possession and aggravated assault. He allegedly was shooting at someone else on Oct. 6 when gunfire hit 62-year-old Marilyn Jenkins in the hip. Jordan is also accused of shooting an 18-year-old acquaintance on Aug. 25.

Information about Jordan can be reported to Crime Stoppers at (615) 742-7463 or Emergency Communications Center at (615) 862-8600.
