Fatal shooting marks ninth homicide of the year in Chattanooga

Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Friday morning in the 2300 block of Hickory Valley Road.

Police arrived on scene around 1:30 a.m. and found the resident of the home, Christopher Robinson, 46, suffering from a gunshot wound. He succumbed to his injuries before paramedics arrived.

Investigators were able to determine the suspect forcibly entered the home and shot the victim, but police have not released any suspect information to the public.

This is the ninth homicide this year in Chattanooga.
