The Academy of Country Music Award nominees were announced Thursday morning, and Lauren Alaina and Kane Brown are among honorees.

Alaina is nominated in the New Female Vocalist category, and Brown for New Male Vocalist.

Together, they are nominated for Vocal Event of the Year for their duet, "What Ifs," a track on his self-titled debut album. That award is presented to the artists and producer, who was Dann Huff.

The 53rd ACM Awards will air on April 15 from Las Vegas.
