For the first time in Erlanger Health System history, the hospital's chief financial officer presented a more than $1 billion budget.
CFO Britt Tabor said at Monday's budget and finance committee meeting that it's a "very challenging budget," but he's proud of the hospital's growth and accomplishments.
Erlanger management is projecting net revenue of $1.1 billion in fiscal year 2019, with a 2019 budget three times greater than the 2018 budget. The themes for the 2019 budget are continued growth, capital investment based on the strategic plan, further investment in associates and an increased emphasis on quality.
"With this percent of volume and growth, we have to deliver," Tabor said.
Board members will review the budget for the next month before officially voting on the proposal in June.
