Three men were arrested after officers found them in possession of multiple firearms and a bag of marijuana at the Shell gas station in the 3400 block of Wilcox Boulevard Saturday night.

Investigators first started paying attention to a silver Nissan Armada sitting at the gas station when they realized it had been sitting at the gas pumps for over 15 minutes, according to court documents. The car was occupied by three men and an investigator noticed two hand-to-hand transactions between the occupants of the car and other people at the gas station.

The investigators pulled up behind the car and activated their emergency lights. The men, Julian Alexander, 25, Jawara Doster, 31, and Chaise Alexander, 27, were standing outside the car. Officers noted smelling marijuana as well as seeing a pistol sitting on the passenger seat in plain sight as they approached.

Once detained, the men told investigators they were traveling from Atlanta to Nashville and had picked up a large amount of perfume, cologne and sunglasses at wholesale and were selling it out of their rental vehicle.

The renter, Julian Alexander, 25, consented to a vehicle search and investigators found three loaded handguns as well as a bag of marijuana weighing 18.5 grams. The men claimed one firearm each and openly admitted to smoking marijuana recently.

Doster said, "Wasn't but half a 'Z' in there," the arresting officer wrote in the arrest record, clarifying that a 'Z' is slang for an ounce. Doster also stated the marijuana wasn't for personal use.

All three are charged with possessing a firearm with intent to go armed, possession of a handgun while under the influence and drugs general category for resale. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 1 before General Sessions Judge Alex McVeagh.
