ORIGINAL STORY: A couple of crashes on Interstate 75 South are backing up traffic near East Brainerd Road in Tennessee and near Calhoun in Georgia.

On I-75 South at mile marker three, a multiple vehicle crash was reported at 7:33 a.m. and should be cleared by 9 a.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation SmartWay Traffic map. The shoulder is blocked just south of the East Brainerd exit and the backup has reached the State Highway 153 interchange, mostly in the right side lanes bound for Interstate 24 West.

In Georgia on I-75 South at U.S. 41 in Gordon County, a crash involving a car and truck has blocked all lanes and brought southbound traffic to a standstill. That crash also is expected to be cleared by 9 a.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation's Navigator map.
