Handmade and homemade gifts and goodies for the holidays will be for sale Thursday when a new farmers market and artisan marketplace kicks off at Miller Park.

The weekly urban farmers market will be held from 3-6 p.m. each Thursday at the newly renovated downtown park.

A news release from the city of Chattanooga called the market "downtown's gathering place for community, farmers, artists, local makers, and food artisans." It will favor local and regional sustainable farmers, entrepreneurs and vendors as well as community focused nonprofit organizations.

Prospective vendors can apply online. More information about the market, including a list of vendors, featured recipes and more can be found at https://millerparkmarket.com/.
