WTCI airs Tennessee governor candidate conversation tonight at 8 p.m

WTCI-TV, Channel 45, will broadcast a locally produced program, "Conversations with the Candidates: Karl Dean/Bill Lee" at 8 p.m. tonight with an encore broadcast on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Republican Bill Lee, a Franklin, Tennessee cattle farmer and businessman, and Democrat Karl Dean, a former Nashville mayor, public defender and college professor, will each talk about their careers and outline their views and policies, if they are elected governor.

The hour-long discussion is hosted by Dave Flessner, business editor of the Chattanooga Times Free Press, and is sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, EPB and Summers, Rufolo and Rodgers.

Viewers also can tune in to WTCI's Channel 45.2 at 5:30 p.m. Saturday or 1:30 p.m. Sunday to see a rebroadcast of the first Tennessee gubernatorial debate from the University of Memphis. Also on Channel 45.2 the "Northeast Tennessee Gubernatorial Debate 2018" will air on Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m. and on Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m.

"Conversations with the Candidates: Karl Dean/Bill Lee" will air again on Channel 45.2 on Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. and Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m.
