TBI: Man wanted for July homicide captured in Detroit

A man wanted for the July 18 fatal shooting of 41-year-old Cortez Alford in the 1100 block of Arlington Avenue was captured Monday.

Alford was fighting with another man when he shot and killed at the Bayberry Apartments at around 5 p.m. Oshea Williams, 23, was named as a suspect the following month and listed on the TBI's top ten most wanted fugitives.

Williams was captured in Detroit, Michigan, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported on its Facebook page.

He faces criminal homicide, felony reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, according to a news release.

Williams will remain in custody in Detroit until he is extradited to Hamilton County.
