A magnitude 2.0 earthquake struck Northeast Polk County at 2:20 a.m. Thursday near the Bradley-McMinn county lines, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was about 15 miles below the earth's surface, centered a little north of the Hiwassee River near Dentville Road about 13 miles northeast of Cleveland, Tennessee, according to USGS data.
