Vice President Mike Pence won't dine alone with a woman other than his wife to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.

To rally support for Republican governor candidate Brian Kemp, Vice President Mike Pence will speak at an event at the Dalton Convention Center next week.

Kemp announced on Twitter today that Pence is coming to town on Nov. 1 at 11:30 a.m. Polls shows Kemp in a neck-and-neck race with Democrat Stacey Abrams, who stopped by Dalton on her campaign tour last week.

How to see Mike Pence in Dalton

Vice President Mike Pence will appear with Georgia gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Dalton Convention Center, located at 2211 Dug Gap Battle Road. This will be Pence's second trip to Dalton in three years. During the run up to the 2016 presidential election, Kemp spoke alongside U.S. Rep. Tom Graves at an event at the convention center.

The week before the Republican Primary runoff in July, President Donald Trump endorses Kemp over his opponent, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle.

In addition to his trip to Dalton, Kemp announced, Pence will appear at rallies in Savannah and Grovetown.
