Dalton police looking for suspect in credit card fraud case

Dalton police are searching for a suspect they say used stolen credit cards to rack up more than $600 in fraudulent charges at various stores in Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., according to a DPD news release.

Victims reported that their car was broken into in August at the soccer complex on Smith Industrial Boulevard and that credit cards were stolen from a purse left inside. The victims later reported that the cards were used at a Walgreens in Fort Oglethorpe and then at a Walmart, where the suspect was able to purchase more than $600 worth of prepaid gift cards, the release states.

The suspect, a black male with a beard, was recorded by store surveillance. He was wearing jeans, a black or possibly navy blue "Nike Athletics" t-shirt and a black or navy ball cap with a logo on the front, according to the release.
