A Walden's Ridge home under construction was destroyed by fire Wednesday morning.
At 5:45 a.m., a neighbor called 911 reporting a possible house fire located at 2077 Sitton Mills Place, according to a news release. Upon arrival, Walden's Ridge Emergency Services reported a fully involved house fire.
Due to the size of the home — 5,000 square feet — additional fire apparatus and manpower were requested and the Signal Mountain Fire Department and Lone Oak Fire Department responded to the scene.
Fire officials said the roof had collapsed and confirmed no one was living in the house. The house had burned for a while before anyone discovered it, the release states.
No one was at the home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
