Signal Mountain home damaged by fire

A fire Tuesday night damaged a Signal Mountain home, the second fire in the area in two days.

At 11:18 pm, firefighters from Walden's Ridge Emergency Services responded to a call at 5011 Anderson Pike.

When fire crews arrived on scene, they reported that two vehicles and a portion of the house were on fire, according to a news release. Additional aid was requested and the Signal Mountain Fire Department, Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

Chattanooga Fire Department responded to Signal Mountain to cover the district for any additional emergency calls.

No injuries were reported.

Chief Jimmy Hillis said the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
