Water covering numerous roads in Hamilton County

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says heavy rains today have left several roads in the county covered with standing or flowing water.

Drivers in the Middle Valley and East Brainerd Road areas are encouraged to avoid driving in low lying areas. All drivers should exercise caution.

Drivers should avoid the areas listed below until the water recedes and should not attempt to drive over any roadways with rushing or standing water.

The roads listed below have at least one or more areas where water is over the roadway:

-Ooltewah-Ringgold Road

-Snow Hill Road

-3200 Ripley Run Road

-Standifer Gap Road

-Old East Brainerd Road

-Wandering Way
