Hamilton County Sheriff's Office seeking public's help in search for missing elderly woman

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in the search for a missing elderly woman, according to a HCSO news release.

Geneva Atkins, 83, was last seen on Tuesday at around 9 p.m. She was driving a 1999 gray GMC Sierra with a dent in the right front fender with a matching grey bed cover. The Tennessee license plate is 158-JSP, the release states.

The 1999 GMC Sierra is an SLT model with an extended cab. It has running boards, chrome wheels, no spare tire, and a small dent in the back of the cab next to the third brake light, a Friday news release states.

She was seen traveling north bound in the 5700 block of Highway 58 and was wearing a light colored shirt with blue jeans.

Atkins is black, weighs about 135 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. She stands 5' 2" tall and is a severe diabetic who suffers from dementia, according to the release.
