UPDATE: EPB power outage in downtown Chattanooga is over

UPDATE: The outage is over. EPB confirmed it affected a little over 700 accounts.

ORIGINAL STORY: EPB and residents and business owners who live on or near Broad Street are reporting a significant power outage this morning that's affecting 2,000 accounts.

Restoration efforts are underway, but an EPB representative said they don't have an estimated time yet of when power will be restored. They are still researching the reason for the outage, she said.
