A woman has died after a vehicle crash on Cummings Highway on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Police say Charlene Murray, 64, was traveling south on the 1900 block of Cummings Highway at around 7:40 p.m. when the vehicle she was driving left the roadway to the right and struck a ditch and embankment. Murray was transported to a local hospital where she later died, the release states.
The body has been transported to the Hamilton County Medical Examiners Office to determine cause of death. The CPD Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
