An Ooltewah woman is facing charges of child and animal abuse after investigators say pornographic photos and videos were found on her cellphone.
Teela Moore Hendrix, 33, of Ooltewah, was charged April 18 after investigators with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant on her cellphone on April 15, according to an affidavit. Her name is also listed as Telia Faye Moore in records.
During the search, "a number" of child porn images were found on her phone, the affidavit states. Investigators said one video shows her sexually abusing a child; Moore admitted to investigators that she had made the video. Another video shows Moore digitally penetrating a dog and providing an explicit narrative, the affidavit states. Timestamps on the videos show they were created in July 2018, records show.
Moore is charged with aggravated sexual battery and criminal offenses against animals.
These charges come just days after she was taken into custody after a standoff at the family's home.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said she tried to ram her husband's car with her kids inside before barricading herself inside the home, according a news release. She was taken into custody less than hour later without incident. Medical personnel at the scene said she showed signs of impairment, according to the sheriff's office.
She was charged with reckless endangerment, aggravated domestic assault, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in that case. These charges have been sent to a grand jury and could result in her indictment.
Between both cases, her total bond is $164,000. She remains in custody.
She will be in Session Court on Friday on the newest charges.
