UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office continues its investigation of a stabbing that happened Tuesday night at the Silverdale Correctional Facility.
Two inmates were taken to a local hospital and one inmate was treated onsite by CoreCivic personnel with what appeared to be puncture marks made by a weapon resembling a shank.
The two inmates that were taken to the hospital had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken back to the correctional facility.
This incident remains under investigation and the names of the inmates are not being released because of security reasons.
ORIGINAL: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported stabbing at Silverdale Detention Center, according to a news release.
Two inmates were taken to a local hospital Tuesday night. Their conditions remain unknown.
A third inmate was treated onsite for what seem to be puncture wounds made by a weapon resembling a shank, the release states.
