Fort Oglethorpe police have taken out three warrants against a Whitfield County Sheriff's Office sergeant for allegedly beating his 9-year-old son.
According to a news release, Sgt. Tracy Dale Davis became angry Sunday afternoon when one of his children didn't want to go home with him. Davis, his children and their mother met in the parking lot at 526 Battlefield Parkway, the stretch that houses a Goodwill Store.
Davis hit the boy in the head and upper body multiple times, threw him and choked him, according to the release. The children's mother and multiple shoppers in the area witnessed the attack.
