A woman was shot multiple times while driving Wednesday evening, according to Chattanooga police.
Police responded to a call of a person shot on the 1700 block of Stanfiel Street around 5:21 p.m. Wednesday, a release states. When investigators arrived, the woman said she had been driving when she heard multiple gunshots and felt she had been shot. Stanfiel Street is located about a block from Dodson Avenue.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment and her condition is not known at this time. The police department's Violent Crimes Bureau also responded.
