Chattanooga police are investigating after a man says he was shot while walking near the Walnut Street Bridge, according to a news release.
Police responded to a local hospital around 2:09 a.m. Sunday on the report of a man suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound. The 35-year-old victim said he was walking in the area of the bridge when he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot.
The man was transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle.
Police were unable to find evidence of a crime scene in the area but are actively investigating to determine what events took place.
