Dalton police are searching for a man they say stole a pressure washer from Walmart on Shugart Road, according to a news release.

The suspect is white with close cropped dark hair and was seen wearing a white and blue button down shirt on the store surveillance system.

Police say the man picked up a $179 Stanley pressure washer in the garden center area shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday. He managed to walk out of the store without paying for it while a cashier's back was turned, the release states.

He then walked to the back of the parking lot and got into the back seat of a gold pickup truck that appeared to be a Chevrolet Silverado with butterfly doors.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the man to contact Officer Caleb Morang by email at cmorang@daltonga.gov or at 706-278-9085, extension 9248.
