The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident in which a Hamilton County Jail inmate was stabbed, according to a news release.
Correctional officers were informed of the incident Wednesday, and the inmate was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
The condition of the inmate is not known at this time, the release states.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation at this time. More information will be released once detectives have a better understanding of what happened, officials state.
