Chipotle's first Chattanooga location is now open.
Chipotle opened on Friday at 2122 Gunbarrel Road in the former Famous Dave's building, according to a news release.
The new location includes a "Chipotlane" – a drive-thru lane allowing customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars, according to the release. It's only the second "Chipotlane" in Tennessee, a company spokesperson said.
The new location is looking for employees and plans to employ about 25 individuals total at the Chattanooga restaurant. Chipotle recently announced that all "crew members" receive a debt-free degree to an accredited university or tuition assistance. For more information, visit chipotle.com/careers.
The fast-casual restaurant serves up burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, salads and is well known for its chips and guacamole. Meals average about $10 per person.
Chipotle is open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days per week.
