Koa, a shepherd mix, and Sasha, a red husky, met at Play Wash Pint a little less than a year ago and hit it off.
On Thursday, February 14, 2019, the two got married in the company of their owners, puppy friends and others enjoying time at the dog park.
While their owners joked about having a wedding, they didn't expect it to become a reality until Nicole Hawkins, a manager at Play Wash Pint, took on the task of organizing the wedding. Six of Sasha's and Koa's puppy friends joined in the wedding party.
Hawkins said it took about 85 dog treats to coordinate the pups, which she said was the most difficult part of the entire planning process. She said it was the first dog wedding she had planned, and was likely her last.
Though likely intoxicated by dog treats, the pups were on their best behavior during the wedding ceremony.
