Authorities warn of road closures, trouble spots from flooding across Hamilton County

Hamilton County authorities are warning residents of the potential for flash flooding across the area Wednesday and areas where there already are problems from storms passing overnight.

* 12700 Jones Gap Road, tree down blocking both lanes of traffic

* 2900 Poe Road, large tree across the road

* South Germantown Road and South Terrace intersection, traffic light and street lights out

* 225 Aster Avenue, more than two feet of water flowing swiftly

Officials said in a statement issued early Wednesday that the water has receded at Cummings Highway at Interstate 24, on Dayton Boulevard, Dodson Avenue, and at Castle Drive and Rogers Road.
