Hamilton County Schools will open Thursday on a two-hour delay, according to Tim Hensley, spokesman for the system.
The delay will allow drivers to make their way to schools in the daylight, Hensley said in a statement issued early Thursday.
School-age child care will open on the normal schedule at all locations, and the district will continue to monitor rainfall and water levels throughout the day and the remainder of the week, officials said.
