The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a shooting reported at 6:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of Ivy Street.
One person received a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening, according to police spokesman Trevor Tomas.
Another person was struck by a vehicle about a block away on the 2500 block of East 5th Street approximately 5 minutes later. Police described the victim's injuries as serious. It was not clear if the two incidents were related.
"Investigators have responded and are actively working the scene," Tomas said.
