A 28-year-old Whitwell, Tennessee, woman was killed and a child passenger was injured in a crash Saturday on Tennessee Highway 28 in Sequatchie County.
Fallon N. Taylor was traveling south around 8:30 a.m. Saturday on Highway 28 in a 2007 Pontiac G6 when the vehicle "drifted off the right side of the roadway and drove 75 feet then struck a tree head-on," a preliminary Tennessee Highway Patrol report on the accident states.
Taylor was not wearing a seat belt, authorities said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A female child in the car was in a proper child restraint device, the reporting trooper said, but was injured in the crash. The child's condition and age was not listed.
