Two people were arrested by a Hamilton County Sheriff's deputy after a vehicle chase on Tuesday night, according to a news release.
The suspects have been identified as Zachary James Taylor, who was driving, and Michael Shane Wortman, who was a passenger.
The deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driving erratically at around 10 p.m. in Soddy-Daisy, but the driver fled and a pursuit followed.
The vehicle stopped on Clay Hill Drive, where both the driver and passenger fled on foot. The deputy pursued and eventually arrested the individuals.
Taylor is charged with felony evading arrest, felony reckless endangerment, reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and light-law violation.
Wortman is charged with felony evading arrest, simple possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
