Mountain Market for Arts & Crafts will mark its 60th year over the last week of July with a special "Diamond" anniversary event in Monteagle, Tennessee.
The market will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 27 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 28 at Hannah Pickett Park, outside Monteagle City Hall at 16 Dixie Lee Avenue, according to Stephanie Kelley, with the South Cumberland Chamber of Commerce.
The event will feature more than 100 booths offering food, demonstrations, activities and creations in leather, wood, metal and ceramics.
New this year will be painting, felting and candle-making workshops, Kelley said.
Admission to the market is free but there is a fee to participate in workshops to cover the cost of supplies and instructors' time, Kelley said.
Visitors can park in the grassy strip between City Hall and DuBose Conference Center.
The market, organized by the chamber, is sponsored by Farmers Insurance Group, Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District, Novatech, Tower Community Bank, Lodge Cast Iron and the Town of Monteagle.
