ATLANTA (AP) - Five people have been injured in a wreck between a passenger car and a Georgia ambulance that wasn't carrying any patients at the time.

Atlanta police Officer Jarius Daugherty tells news outlets that the car crashed into the ambulance's side late Sunday, causing it to overturn. The ambulance had been heading to the scene of a call and had its lights and sirens on when it was hit.

Police say three people in the car and the two emergency medical technicians in the ambulance were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Details about their conditions and any possible charges weren't available as of Monday morning.
