SELMER, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee officials say a sheriff's deputy has shot and wounded a man who pulled a weapon during a confrontation with another man.

A statement from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says McNairy County Sheriff's deputies were assisting the Selmer Police Department on a domestic call when they reported seeing 25-year-old Courvousia Laster pull a weapon during the fight. The statement says a deputy fired his service weapon and struck Laster, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported. Police did not release Laster's condition.

It wasn't immediately clear if Laster was involved in the domestic incident that sparked the initial police response.
