Three people are now facing charges stemming from a shooting in which Chattanooga police shot and injured a man this week at a home on Gillespie Road.

Camaron Billips, 23, was shot Thursday after police say he presented a firearm while being served a warrant. He was treated on the scene by SWAT members before being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He now faces 11 charges, including four counts of aggravated assault on police, possession of a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of heroin for resale, possession of crack for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and criminal conspiracy to sell heroin.

He will be taken into custody once he's released from the hospital, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Two other are also facing charges related to the incident.

Demetrius Bibbs, 27, and Carmen Noble, 26, face charges of possession of heroin for resale, possession of crack cocaine for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and criminal conspiracy to sell heroin.

Both are currently being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, per police department policy.

Going forward, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will be the lead agency handling the investigation into the officer-involved shooting. That's at the request of District Attorney General Neal Pinkston.

It's not the first incident to happen on Gillespie Road in recent days.

Shortly after Billips was shot, another man was shot as the car in which he was driving went down the road, according to police. He later died. That shooting is under investigation.

And last week, another man was injured in a shooting.

Police have not confirmed if the incidents are related.

This is a developing story.
