Driver of vehicle involved in fatal East Main Street crash interviewed by Chattanooga police

The driver of the second vehicle involved in a crash that killed a 9-year-old boy Friday night has voluntarily come forward to meet with Chattanooga police traffic investigators, according to a news release.

Investigators have since interviewed the driver, but information obtained during that interview is part of the open, ongoing investigation and not available for release at this time, the news release states.

The identity of the driver is being withheld until it's determined whether any charges will be filed, the news release states. More information will be provided at the completion of the investigation or upon investigators' advisement.
