Three of five Bradley County Sheriff's Office K-9s are temporarily out of a job after an issue with their certifications were brought up, spokesman Adam Lewis confirmed Tuesday.
K-9 Officers Joker, Rex and Jager will be out of service until they can get re-certified, which will be early next week. They were last certified under the previous sheriff's administration, Lewis said.
A judge raised some questions about the certifications during a recent court hearing, 10th Judicial District Attorney Steve Crump said.
His office advised the sheriff's office to go ahead and get the dogs re-certified to avoid any future problems, Crump said.
