UPDATE: The search for the missing boater on Wheeler Lake has resumed this morning with members from Limestone/Athens Search & Rescue, Limestone County Sheriff's Office and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Marine Patrol Division assisting with the search, authorities said in a statement.
The search is concentrated near the Limestone County side of Wheeler Lake.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Marine Patrol troopers are investigating a boating incident on Wheeler Lake near the Athens area on Tuesday, according to a news release.
One boat was involved with two persons aboard, officials said. One person is still missing and is the subject of a search by Athens/Limestone Search & Rescue, Rogersville police and the Limestone County Sheriff's Office.
