UPDATE: Two men injured in Thursday morning Avondale shooting

Two men were injured in a shooting early Thursday in the Avondale neighborhood.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. in the 1500 block of Bradt Street, according to a news release.

Chattanooga police responding to a call of people shot found two men with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victims, a 35-year-old and a 36-year-old, told police they had been shot while sitting on a front porch.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.

No other information was available. The investigation is continuing.
